Christmas is actually a Christian festival. Christian community celebrates this day as the birth day of Jesus Christ. They believe that on this holy day the Jesus Christ was born. But it is not the reality. Nobody knows about the exact date of birth of Jesus Christ. Actually this festival is celebrated as the winter season larger days.

Christmas is celebrated at 25th of December. Some years before this festival was not celebrated as present days. With the passage of time this festival has become very popular and is celebrated with great passion and love. This occasion is not only celebrated by Christians but many non-Christians also celebrate this festival.

Different people celebrate Christmas with different methods. Now days on this occasion many holy traditions are being offered. People greet their loved ones and friends by sending them gifts, sweets and Christmas cakes. They also send each other wish cards, gifts and greeting messages through different means like internet and mobiles SMS. Modern Christmas celebrations much differs from the past days.

Now a days people celebrate this occasion not only in their homes but on different public places like parks, restaurants, clubs and many other places. They enjoy this festival with their friends and relatives because on this date there is a public holiday and people have winter holidays also so they can freely enjoy this celebration and their holidays too.

Christians go to Church for special Christmas prayer. They celebrate this day by decorating their houses with Christmas tree, lightings, garlands, candles and many other things. They arrange a family dinner at the Christmas night and invite their all relatives and friends at this dinner. They think that this dinner brings prosperity and wealth for the coming year.

So we can say that this festival is not confined to Christians only but the whole world and the people of all the religions celebrate this festival.
